Analysis of The Stronger by August Strindberg Essay -- Performance Art
The Stronger by August Strindberg is a play that is filled with irony. One of the first things noticed in this play is that the characters have no names, nor are they labeled by any type of status. Rather than having names like most plays, the two characters are differentiated by the letters "X" and "Y." Another ironic thing about this play, is how it is written; the dialogue of the play is not evenly spoken. Instead of the two characters conversing between one another, the play is written almost like a monologue where only Mrs. X speaks. Because Mrs. X is the only speaker, one would think that she is "the stronger," but ironically, she is not. One reason Mrs. X is not thought to be the stronger is that she goes back to her husband after she concludes that an affair had existed ironically thinking that the affair will not disable her marriage. The play implies that Mrs. X believes that the affair has and will somehow continue to make her marriage stronger. She says, "that only gave me a stronger hold on my husband," but actually her knowledge of the affair will eventually weaken the relationship. Knowing that her trust has been abused will normally cause her to question her husband's devotion: Were there other affairs? Is he cheating now? If so, is she someone I know? If not, will he cheat again? These are possible questions that will remain unanswered because Mrs. X has no intention of confronting her husband. This is a fact because in the last line of the play Mrs. X says, "Now I am going home - to love him." This quote also makes it seem like she is going home to live her normal life as if the affair never occurred, but making herself believe that it has disappeared will not solve anything. She believes th... ...would one put oneself in the situation to be vulnerable to such false mentality? It is because emotionally Mrs. X is weak, so to protect herself from any pain, she thinks of a way to logically persuade her mind and her emotions that she is the stronger, but she is not. Mrs. X can not be the stronger because Miss Y clearly shows more strength by saying nothing. Miss Y shows this strength by simply sitting there enduring Mrs. X's accusations and abuse. She sat there and faced it all when she could have easily matched Mrs. X's actions. Miss Y could have refused to listen to Mrs. X's accusations, or she could have made a scene by responding to Mrs. X's abuse. Instead of showing signs weakness, Miss Y chose to say nothing because there really was nothing that could be said to make the situation any better. By choosing to do so, Miss Y proves that she is the stronger.

Body Image Essay -- essays research papers
Everyone who brings home a bad report card knows that with a little effort they can better their grades. Yet there are some things in life that you cant change and the way you look is one of them. In todayââ¬â¢s society teenage girls face an ongoing battle to attain the perfect body image. The following paper discusses the definition of perfect, why we strive to attain this impossible ideal, why we donââ¬â¢t fight to change the image, and the consequences that can result from this battle to please. A dictionary definition of perfect is: 1. complete, having all its essential qualities 2. faultless, excellent 3. exact, precise 4. entire, total(1). Now does this seem like a reasonable goal to strive for? Absolutely not, it is impossible, yet so many teenage girls feel that perfection is within their reach. Society plays a massive role in influencing our lives and our judgment. The emphasis placed on looking good in our society clouds our vision of what is truly important. Western culture portrays certain morals and ideals that girls feel they must live up to. Societyââ¬â¢s ideals themselves are largely influenced by those of the media, which in return puts added stress on the image problems that teenage girls face. Every time they look around themselves. "[They] loose [their] sense of self, individuality and fall victim to narrow definitions of beauty defined by the media. The media acts as a propaganda machine determined to shake our confidence, remind us we arenââ¬â¢t good enough, we havenââ¬â¢t made it, that we just simply donââ¬â¢t measure up."(2) All we see in the media these days are tall, thin, beautiful girls with great skin and even better figures. The media sends out the message that the ideal body should resemble that of a Barbie doll. Girls are supposed to try and look like this, so they will "fit in." Girls feel that with an "ideal" body comes power in society, and they are shown this starting at a very young age; She will be a woman like all the women in the thousand of ads and movies and television programs she has seen since she was very little.(3) The media is sending out negative messages to millions of vulnerable teenage girls striving to be accepted in todayââ¬â¢s society and this is causing extreme problems. The media image is only going to become more and more destructive because, while the media ideal female is getting smaller, the ... ...ns when this battle for the impossible goes too far. These girls need to start fighting for change. Women need to be committed to changing the present body image ideal to a new one that is tolerant of varied size and weight. They must form a new social group whose rules and codes for a body image ideal allow all women to be beautiful in her own way. (22) These women need to learn to accept who they are inside and out. If they canââ¬â¢t do this on their own, then they need to seek professional help in order to get to the root of the problem. The most important thing is that they realize that they need help, and seek it as soon as possible. They should see someone who can help them make a healthy eating and work out plan to follow. And if they donââ¬â¢t feel comfortable talking to a professional, than they can talk to someone they trust. Another option that can help one get their life back on track is becoming involved in sports. Sports can help you make new friends and get into better physical shape, which will in turn brighten your mood and increase your self esteem. With increased self- esteem comes increased confidence, and that is key to accepting yourself mirror reflection included.

Ted Baker
The brief was to create an integrated campaign that articulates the Ted Baker brand in one of these four categories; watches, eyewear, footwear and fragrances. Free to work in any media and it can be displayed in the store swell as in the public domain. Using the Ted baker logo within the designs, free to work in any style and using any media. The requirements for the brief were simply 4 posters relating to the certain category we had chosen. Anything else provided would be optional extras. These posters would support the brand and help push the boundaries in terms of styling, attention to detail and quality. Sources of research were initially just images online, billboards etc.. I found with Ted Baker that their advertising campaigns were pretty limited. In Cabot Circus there's a Ted Baker store with a few bits and bobs dotted around but they don't sell glasses anyway so most of my research was left to depending on online resources. My research consisted of images with Ray-ban, their campaign ââ¬ËNever Hide' is really well known and is very recognised, really different posters are designed which is shown in my research. My final ideas were very professional and I feel they related to the brand, I felt they were quite strong. Using Photoshop I played about with imagery and layers, I chose a few high resolution images which I overlaid and edited in Photoshop. Then I chose a border which I also overlaid and played about with, I wanted a grungey feel but at the same time I wanted it to be simplistic, similar to the work i would imagine Ted Baker to look like/And want to put up around shops etc.. After experimenting with backgrounds, I finally came up with one final browny/cream coloured type background with a black border, I then edited this in Photoshop and then played around with effects and eventually came up with inverting it and then playing about with the colours, finally I had a red, blue, green and black one. I then started playing about with vectors of glasses and chose 4 different pairs of glasses online and then drew around them with the pen tool. Initially I had live traced them and then live painted, but I felt drawing them with the pen tool was much more accurate and precise, it also meant it was easier to edit the colours if I did need to change the colours for whatever reason. I would've preferred to have the posters at a bigger scale, maybe A2 as I feel in a shop these would suit the shop more rather than an A3 poster, it's not massively noticeable. I used bright colours which had been lowered in saturation so they didn't stand out so much. I sed the typeface future which was the closest to the Ted Baker Logo typeface as I could get. I used 2 taglines; including ââ¬Å"essential eyewearâ⬠and ââ¬Å"eye candyâ⬠. I wanted to keep what I was saying professional. The posters all flowed and kept certain things the same, meaning the layout, typeface, background style and positioning of the text. Throughout this brief I took a different approach to how I would normally, I visited the Ted Baker shop because the poster s would be if printed, put up around the store in bigger. The targeted audience are lovers of glasses, Ted Baker or not. I wanted to keep a simplistic feel but at the same time make it very professional, which is different to a lot of the work I would usually produce. I learnt certain simple things in Photoshop which I didn't know before, ââ¬Ëoverlaying' etc. I feel I have successfully met the brief and produced some nice final outcomes which meet the requirements and are aesthetically pleasing.

Career Roles in Health Information Technology
At present, great demand in health services are of the fastest growing career opportunities (ââ¬Å"Prepare for a Career in Today's Fastest Growing Fieldâ⬠). Professionals with the expertise in the design, operation and maintenance of the different developments in health technologies are indeed highly needed. It is then expected that ten out of twenty jobs likely to grow quickly in the next several years are focused in the medical field. Maintaining patientsââ¬â¢ records to examining vital information are careers in health and medical information technology which permits work in active domain thatââ¬â¢s rich with chances and radical development.Health Applications Developer As a health applications developer, it is his duty to help others do their work more efficiently as they supervise their patients. Thrilling tests in the field will be very much enjoyable as he designs, builds, and integrates higher technological tools for the healthcare vocation. Technological expertise as well as problem-solving skills, works hand in hand together with analytical capabilities in explaining the different patient data, and its further reformation (ââ¬Å"Prepare for a Career in Today's Fastest Growing Fieldâ⬠).Health Information Technicians or Medical Records Managers Whenever a patients submits himself for general check-up in any hospital, or when a patient obtains any medical intervention, a record of all the remarks, therapy, surgeries, medical history and the like are taken for further use. The records also include all the basic information needed so that anyone that gets the information could immediately understand the patientââ¬â¢s condition. This is the duty of a health information technician, to organize and to systemize this data so everything would be put to order.Technicians collect patientsââ¬â¢ health data, being certain that the patientsââ¬â¢ primary medical information and charts are well accomplished, that every form are properly recog nized and true, and that all needed data is in the computer (ââ¬Å"Medical Records and Health Information Techniciansâ⬠). They habitually are in contact with doctors and other health care specialists to refine diagnoses or get further information. Technicians also tabulate programs regularly and investigate data to expand patient concern, betterment of the cost, and supply documentation for utilization in lawful actions, or use in investigation studies. The responsibilities of medical records and health information techniciansââ¬â¢ also differ with the volume of the amenities present in their work place. Technicians could concentrate in a specific field of health data or could manage health information clerks and transcriptionists in medium to large-scale services whereas a medical records and health information manager supervises the division. On the other hand, a certified medical records and health information technician could have the chance to supervise the division in small facilities. Some of them concentrate in coding patientsââ¬â¢ medical data for insurance reasons. These technicians are also known as health information coders, medical record coders, coder/abstractors, or coding specialists (ââ¬Å"Medical Records and Health Information Techniciansâ⬠). The said technicians allocate a system to every diagnosis and method, on the basis of their familiarity and skill in disease progression. Hence, they utilize classification schemes software to allot the patient to some individuals out of a hundred ââ¬Å"diagnosis-related groups,â⬠or DRGs.They decide the quantity for what the hospital will be repaid if the patient is shouldered by Medicare or other insurance plans under the DRG scheme. Furthermore, coders utilize other coding schemes, like those needed for ambulatory situations, physician function, or long-term therapy. Another specialization of this field is on cancer registry. Cancer registrars preserve all types of information of their cancer patients. Registrars evaluate patient data and files and pathology statements, and allocate codes for the judgment and management of distinguishing cancers and chosen benign tumors.Registrars carry out yearly follow-ups on every patient in the registry to trace their therapy, endurance, and revitalization. Certain health organizations like public health and physicians then utilize this data to compute survivor degree and success percentage of a variety of sort of therapy, situate geographic portions with increased instances of particular cancers, and recognize possible partakers for clinical drug experiments. Public health officers also utilize cancer registry information to aim areas for the provision of resources to offer intercession and selection. The technicians have a pleasant and comfortable workplace. This is just one in the small number of health-related professions where there is small or no absolute connection with their patients. Since precision is vital in their work, technicians should be attentive to every feature. They who work in front of computer monitors for long spans of time should watch incidents of eyestrain and muscle soreness. Medical records and health information technicians generally labor a 40-hour week and several overtime could be necessary.Health information divisions frequently are open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Technicians could work day, evening, and night time shifts in hospitals. Health Information Managers Health Information Manager plans and coordinates all services offered by the Health Information Department that includes the Medical Records division (ââ¬Å"Health Information Manager Job Descriptionâ⬠). A health information manager has several duties, some of which are the following: â⬠¢ Organizes, guides and assesses everyday routines of every file room procedure at the facility.â⬠¢ Evaluates purposes and methods of medical records. â⬠¢ Does service area and departmental excellent as surance duties needed for conformity, recognizing agencies and regulatory matters. â⬠¢ Offer on-going guidance to specialized, clinical and clerical personnel concerning the medical record details, coding, discretion, and safety. â⬠¢ Directs the study of medical documentation records for regular accomplishment and certification. â⬠¢ Organizes methods for discharge of medical data and correlation demands according to regional policies, nation and federal decrees and laws.â⬠¢ Makes new strategies and updates on hand policies in association to gist and context of the medical details. â⬠¢ Expands and monitors departmental finances. â⬠¢ Manages clinical data and records completion scheme to remain method and workflow constant with specialized standards and official necessities. â⬠¢ Systemizes the storage, recovery, archiving and obliteration of medical files according to state laws. â⬠¢ Serves as connection between medical, secretarial, and executive force in issues concerning coding, information acquisition and investigation.â⬠¢ Presents instructions, discussion and execution of recent agenda associated to medical records. Health Services Managers In the healthcare industry, efficient management is necessary to guarantee excellent services are offered to those needy. Health services managers are people who oversee, guides and organized healthcare (ââ¬Å"Medical and Health Services Management Careers, Jobs and Training Informationâ⬠). Health services managers should battle with complex rigid schemes, due to the fast-changing budget and arrangement of healthcare.Greater focus on preventive care, reconstruction of work, delivery schemes, and technological developments are implemented as well. These managers have a vital role in the medical field. Working together with certain organizations, the health service managers try to find alternatives in making interrelated services, like outpatient follow-up care and inpatient care, more effective. The clinical manager is accountable for organizing different activities consisting of diverse managers, assess, work and staff, rising budgets and reports, as well as making and performing methods, rules, and purposes for their department.Clinical management titles practice or trains in particular clinical fields. Say a manager over medical records and health files usually has a bachelorââ¬â¢s degree in whichever in medical record administration or health information while a director of physical therapy must have wide understanding as a physical therapist. Managed care amenities are being worked on by the health services and medical manager. Their duties are not far from each other which corresponds a specific manager for group practices. However, they manage bigger group of workers and does work in preventive care and society outreach. They also are responsible in supervising numerous health system services that provide various inpatient and outpatient services. H ospitals and nursing care facilities present a twenty-four hour round the clock care, thus make the majority of health services and medical managers work in long hours and could be on-call at no specific time. Travel may also be needed to investigate satellite spots or to be there on meetings. They also should be able to provide efficient decisions, analyze information, and comprehend information schemes and budget, because health services and medical managers are accountable for a great number of employees and very exclusive equipment and amenities. Tough headship expertise is required to encourage and implement their decisions. Communication competence mediation, litheness, and judgment are grave because of their consistent communication with people. Getting a career as a health services or medical manager may evolve by progressing to a bigger competence or by achieving a title as a subordinate or partner administrator. These titles not only pay much, but obligate greater accountabi lity. Biomedical Engineering Technologists Bioengineering and biomedical engineering technologists lastly, concentrates on biomedical apparatus (ââ¬Å"Bioengineering and Biomedical Engineering Technologyâ⬠). They could labor on draft or appliances, or could be accountable for setting up, preparation, procedure or preservation for the biomedical equipment. Bioengineering technologists may also labor on the improvement or execution of biomedical schemes. They usually labor in hospitals or self-governing medical assistance organizations, and may examine, standardize, or handle equipment established in the provision they work in. Conclusion The employment rate under the medical field is expected to grow more than the normal profession through 2012, because of an increasing health services industry. Elevating chances will originate in out-patient care foundation, health practitioners and doctorââ¬â¢s working places, and in residence healthcare services. Workers with fine administ ration and business expertise and understanding in the healthcare industry will have the utmost opportunities. However, job availability in hospitals are predicted to elevate at a slower speed than in other specialization areas because of the hospitalsââ¬â¢ focus on substitute care areas and to more guarded budgets. But, hospitals will still utilize the uppermost number of health services. The finest job opportunities in hospitals will go to them with great competence experience. Employment is increasing fastest in residence healthcare agencies and in practitionersââ¬â¢ workplace, due to a number of hospital benefits that are moving offsite because of developing technologies.Skilled experience in a line of work will give managers with more opportunities. Employees working in these fields will be obtainable with an elevated concentration on preventive care, financial responsibility, forces of cost suppression, and will concentrate on civilizing the public health. Healthcare comp anies offer hospitals and organizations, and particular sector (physician employing, emergency, handled care deal talks, and data management schemes) with a variety of management services.Health and medical career opportunities then will have employment chances with these institutions. Natural Mosquito Repellent
ââ¬Å"NATURAL MOSQUITO REPELLENTâ⬠I. INTRODUCTION Mosquitoes can be unwelcome guest these rainy days and it is a major insect problem of people. Commercial repellents are harsh, have poisons that are not suitable for children and not always effective in repelling these pesky bugs. We donââ¬â¢t know what are the side effects of these repellents are. Some leaves, unripe fruit, and their seeds contain vermicidal and insectidal properties. It is an inexpensive alternative in avoiding mosquito that causes diseases like dengue and malaria. These insects can also cause economic losses in cattle and other livestock through blood loss, disease transmission and irritation. We arrived at this kind of problem because we want to prevent ourselves from mosquitoes that cause diseases like dengue, malaria as well as painful or uncomfortable insect bites. And we want to avoid slapping and whirring hands when itââ¬â¢s stricken to us and to come up with an effective and safe mosquito repell ent product. We donââ¬â¢t need poisons to deal with insects. II. REVIEW OF RELATED LITERATURE TITLE; Shoo, Fly: Natural Insect RepellentBy: Laurel Vukovic From:à Natural Health July/August, 1994 Making human flesh unappetizing to mosquitoes, ticks, flies, and fleas is an age-old preoccupation. The earliest insect repellents included smoke, mud, and various plant substances. Our contemporary contribution is DEET (N, N-diethyl-meta-toluamide), a powerful insecticide found in over 400 repellents. DEET can peel paint, damage rayon and spandex, and melt plastic. Up to 56 percent of DEET applied to the skin enters the bloodstream, and reactions to it include skin rashes, lethargy, muscle spasms, nausea, and irritability. An extreme reaction can cause seizures and even death. So it's hardly worth using DEET to deter insects unless you're someplace with high rates of insect-borne disease or you experience severe allergic reactions to bites and stings. There are natural alternatives to D EET, made primarily from plant essential oils that can protect you in less threatening circumstances. Although ââ¬Å"there is no natural repellent as effective as DEET,â⬠says Eve McClure, executive vice-president of protection against ticks. Ticks, the carriers of Lyme disease, are among the most worrisome pests. If you are traveling in an area known for Lyme disease (according to the Centers for Disease Control, this includes the Atlantic states and Northern California), contact the American Lyme Disease Foundation at (800) 876-5963 for preventive advice Quantum, a natural repellent manufacturer in Eugene, Oregon, ââ¬Å"natural repellents do help ward off mosquitoes, black flies, gnats, and fleas, and they may provide some . Reactions:à From Mild to FatalAlthough most people experience only temporary pain and swelling after a bee or wasp sting, some individuals are hypersensitive and can experience a potentially fatal anaphylactic reaction. The symptoms of anaphylaxis in clude hives, agitation, difficulty in breathing, nausea, dizziness, and a swollen tongue or face. Without prompt medical treatment, this can be fatal. Although anyone can have an anaphylactic reaction, the people most at risk are those with a history of allergic reactions to stings ââ¬â hives, wheezing, or a previous episode of anaphylactic shock.People who know they are at risk should carry an emergency kit with injectable epinephrine, which is available by prescription. Home care can include drinking slightly salty water (1/2 tsp. per quart, at 4 oz. per hour), Vitamin B-5 at large doses briefly (2 grams 3X a day, for 3-4 days), Licorice capsules or tea at 1-2 cps. /1 cup tea, 2 or 3 X a day. Extensive Measures You don't have to be in the tropics or in an area at high risk for insect-borne disease to take the following steps. Hordes of insects your own backyard can lead you to seek extra protection.Debra Nuzzi-St. Claire, an herbalist in Boulder, Colorado, has these suggestion s (see ââ¬Å"Making Your Own Natural Insect Repellent,â⬠below, for essential oil combination): * Spray clothing and bedding (including the mosquito netting of your tent, if you're camping) with an alcohol-base repellent. * Pour several drops of the combined pure essential oils onto a candle. * Place a few drops on cloth or paper strips and hang them around the room, especially by doors and windows. * Add the base oil to shampoos and liquid soaps. Most natural insect repellents are made with an essential oil distilled from citronella, a tall, aromatic grass indigenous to Southern Asia. Its pungent, lemony fragrance is pleasant to most people but objectionable to mosquitoes. Other aromatic essential oils commonly found in natural insect repellents include cedarwood, lemongrass, eucalyptus, peppermint, pennyroyal, lavender, and bergamot. These are safe when applied to the skin, but should not be taken internally without the advice of a professional. Pennyroyal, in particular, is highly toxic if ingested. Essential oil repellents are available in spray or oil form.According to Eve McClure, restrictions by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) have made it difficult for consumers to identify natural repellents by packaging alone. Since the EPA classifies all repellents as insecticides, it requires expensive testing, which includes experiments on live animals. Because most natural repellent manufacturers are unwilling ââ¬â or financially unable ââ¬â to comply with EPA guidelines, they cannot promote their products as natural insect repellents. ââ¬Å"We had to remove the bug from our label and change our name from ââ¬ËBuzz Away' to ââ¬ËZzz Away,' â⬠says McClure (see ââ¬Å"Making Your Own Natural Insect Repellentâ⬠).After the Bite If mosquitoes, flies, and fleas feast on you in spite of your efforts, Nuzzi-St. Claire recommends applying undiluted tea tree oil to the bites. Tea tree oil has antiseptic and anti-inflammatory propertie s and is usually non-irritating. Test a small area of skin before applying the oil liberally. If the essential oil irritates your skin, wash it off with soap and water and dilute the tea tree oil in five parts of jojoba or almond oil before reapplying. Testing for sensitivity is a good practice when applying any essential oil for the first time.Sharol Tilgner, a naturopathic physician and natural first-aid expert in Portland, Oregon, recommends applying a drop of peppermint essential oil to insect bites. ââ¬Å"Anything with menthol will increase the circulation in the area and dissipate the anticoagulant that the mosquito has injected into you,â⬠she says. Other topical treatments for reducing itching and inflammation include cold compresses, lavender essential oil, and calamine lotion. Dr. Thomas S. Lee, an Arizona naturopathic physician, likes pure lavender oil rubbed into the bite ASAP. ââ¬Å"The Chinese patent medicine White Flower Oil is a clean mentholated formula that works well, too. Well-equipped and well-informed, you can take those restorative strolls and hikes with greater confidence. Carl Mitchell of the Centers for Disease Control in Fort Collins, Colorado says, ââ¬Å"People definitely shouldn't avoid outdoor activities for fear of bug bites and stings. Just take a few precautions. â⬠Stings:à The Finer Points To make an insect repellent oil that can be used on your body, add 16 ounces of jojoba or almond oil to the base oil mixture and blend thoroughly. For an insect repellent spray, add 16 ounces of vodka to the base oil mixture, pour into a spray bottle, and shake before using.Although bees, wasps, hornets, and yellow jackets generally won't go out of their way to attack, they can be extremely aggressive if you disturb their nests or bother them while they're feeding. They're attracted by perfumes and scented body care products, as well as by sweet foods such as ice cream, fruit juices, and watermelon. Bright-colored clothing c an also make you a target. If you do get stung, the following tips can help minimize the problems: Bumblebees, wasps, yellow jackets, and hornets can attack repeatedly, so if you get stung, get out of the area immediately. If you're stung by a yellow jacket, avoid swatting at it. Crushing the venom sac releases a chemical that incites its nest-mates to attack. Honeybees can sting only once, but the stinger and venom sac they leave in your skin pump venom for two to three minutes. Remove them immediately, being careful not to squeeze the venom sac. The safest way to do this is to scrape them out with a credit card or the dull edge of a knife. If the stinger remains behind after you've scraped away the venom sac, remove it gently with tweezers. Making Your Own Natural Insect Repellent Herbalist Debra Nuzzi-St.Claire suggests combining the following essential oils to make a natural insect repellent: 1/2 ounce citronella oil 1/4 ounce lavender oil 1/8 ounce pennyroyal oil 1/8 ounce tea t ree oil 1/8 ounce jojoba oil Do not use this blend undiluted on your skin. Follow these instructions for diluting: To make an insect repellent oil that can be used on your body, add 16 ounces of jojoba or almond oil to the base oil mixture and blend thoroughly. For an insect repellent spray, add 16 ounces of vodka to the base oil mixture, pour into a spray bottle, and shake before using. III. PROCEDURE 1. Place ? rganic apple vinegar into a large mixing bowl 2. Mix into the organic apple vinegar ? cup of vodka. 3. Place 2 table teaspoons of citronella oil into the above stated mixture. 4. Mix thoroughly. 5. Using a funnel transfer contents of mixing bowl into a small spray bottle. 6. Apply literally for best effect. IV. MATERIALS * ? cup vodka * ? cup of organic apple vinegar * 2 teaspoons of citronella oil * Small spray bottle * Funnel * Bowl V. RESULTS & DISCUSSION TRIAL 1| TRIAL 2| TRIAL 3| * In our 1st trial, we use ? vodka and not totally fermented apple vinegar. And when we us e it, the product is not successful. * In our 2nd trial, we use ? vodka, 1 teaspoon of citronella oil and fermented apple vinegar. When we apply it, there are still bites of mosquito. Itââ¬â¢s not successful again. | * In our last trial, we read the procedure carefully and followed it. We use the exact amount of vodka that should be ? cup, ? cup of totally fermented apple vinegar and 2 teaspoons of citronella oil and when we apply it. The product is successful. | VI. CONCLUSION: After the investigation is done, therefore we conclude that natural mosquito repellent is more safe and effective. And we can also make our own mosquito repellent than buying it.Weââ¬â¢ll not be too aware of mosquito bites anymore because our product is natural and has safe side effects. And we also conclude that making this product is not costly. In fact, youââ¬â¢ll save more money and the more natural, the more effective it is. VII. RECOMMENDATION: After we made the product successful, weââ¬â¢r e offering recommendations for possible further study and more successful product. It is recommended giving more priority of our health is the most important. According to World Health Organization 1948, ââ¬Å"Health is a state of complete physical, mental and social well-being, and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity. People should also give attention to our nature, because there are hidden treasures to make our health healthy. If you want to experiment, 1st thing you should do is to observe. Then you follow carefully the steps to become successful in the experiment. Next, think for the materials that are not expensive. Always prioritize to save money as much as possible. Then last, create a product that will help the people and the mother earth. Like our product, ââ¬Å"NATURAL MOSQUITO REPELLENTâ⬠.

Analysis Soft Drink Essay
1Analysis of the U. S. soft drink industry, based on the competitive forces model of Michael Porter. In the soft drink industry the entry of new competitors depends on the barriers to entry that are present, and also the reaction from existing competitors that the entrant can expect. I will now analyze the six major sources of barriers to entry the soft drink industry. Economies of scale deter entry by forcing the entrant to come in at large scale and risk strong reaction from existing firms or come in at a small scale and accept a cost disadvantage. If a company wants to decline its unit costs of their product, they will have to produce more to lower the cost. The more you produce, the lower the costs. In the soft drink industry establishing firms have brand identification and customer loyalties. The brand name can have differences. This is a high barrier to enter. Entrants are forced to spend a lot to overcome existing customer loyalties. The capital requirements within this industry are very high. Production, distribution and advertising are a must to compete with the industry leaders like coca cola and Pepsi. So if a new The aluminum cans, plastic and glass bottles are pretty much dependant on the soft drink industry to survive in the business. This makes suppliers to have little power over the soft drink industry. The access to distribution channels is a high barrier because the most successful soft drink companies are aggressively spending their distribution channels and buying full ownership of bottling plants. Supermarkets are at present the largest channels in the U. S. and there the competition is very high. Switching costs is also a barrier to entry this business. Switching costs by changing from one supplier to the other may happened. Also employee training, new equipment, testing new technology. This things are common in this industry. This are barriers for new entrants.
